Positive Thinking: The Stress Buster

Doctors have proven time and again that stress has a direct link to our health. Physical stress on the body is easy to understand and deal with because the pain is immediate. Emotional stress, however, is not.

We harbor our thoughts, feelings, and daily responsibilities deep down inside, and this affects our health. Often we do not even take a second thought about the things that could be adding stress to our lives and our bodies.

Male or female, responsibility and stress management comes in many forms: balancing the household budget, children’s care, keeping up with the neighbors, relationships, and in the work place. Many doctors agree that physical exertion is one of the best ways to relieve stress and maintain health.

Relieving stress is actually the step after realizing stress is present. What about stopping stress in its tracks, before it starts? Stress management for the brain’s garden at its best, at the beginning.

How do we stop stress from reeking havoc on our immune systems, worsening our general health, and pressuring us in the work place? The answer is different for everyone. Yet commonality in the thought process is the same for everyone. Positivity! Positive thinking is very healthy.

Healthy thinking can reduce your chances of stress even appearing. The demands in the work place often  create a negative  and stressful atmosphere. Co-workers and bosses take all the positive energy out of us by their demands and challenges that make us feel worthless. Without much forward thought, offsetting a negative thought with a positive can challenge the stress of the work place. Allowing us power over our stress.

Clinical understanding of how the brain works helps to understand how we can control our health and stress with positive thinking. The computer analogy, garbage in – garbage out, can help activate this process.

When you think negative thoughts, your life and body around you reacts negatively, and in turn negatively affecting your health. When you think or input positive thoughts, your surroundings react positively.

Find your personal touch of positive energy and feed that to your brain repeatedly. Then your brain garden will grow and revitalize with health and positivity . There will be less stress for you in your office, allowing better performance.

What are possible positive things? You can listen to a radio station that focuses on uplifting music or talk. Try putting your favorite vacation pictures in a loop on your personal work computer.

Always talk to yourself in a positive manner. Telling yourself things like, you will do better next time; you are not an idiot like the other person said. You are important to yourself and your family; therefore you will do your best at work, which will classify you as a successful person. This positivity will keep you in good health.

Remember that positive mental health translates to positive  physical health and the lessening of stress. Also, positive food for the brain garden is one of the best things for stress management.
