Welcome to Valerie Dowla's Private Practice in Castro Valley, CA.

Dr. Dowla is originally from France and has been living in California for 25 years. She studied Clinical Psychology at CSPP, currently Alliant University in San Francisco, an APA accredited Program, and she obtained her doctoral degree.
She is currently a Senior Psychologist at La Familia Counseling Service, Out- Patient program, in Hayward, CA. She provides supervision to Staff and Interns. She is in Private Practice In castro Valley, CA.
She has 15 years of experience working with adults, families, couples, and children and youth. She was the Clinical Director at La Familia Children's Day treatment for 4 years. She works from a broad psycho-dynamic approach, family system theories, and DBT. She believes in supportive and empowering techniques and is very sensitive to health issues, and multicultural/immigration issues.
