3. Blowing your nose. You may think of blowing your nose as a necessary part of life and, indeed, it may be impossible to totally give up this practice. Nevertheless, you need to be very careful as to how often and how hard you blow your nose. To reduce the risk of rupturing an aneurysm you may not even know you have, try blowing your nose as gently as possible; also, hold one nostril closed while you blow out through the other.
