I was in awe at the level of service I received. They completely surpassed all my expectations and I will absolutely be going back. They went out of their way to make me feel special and respected, and were very sympathetic to my situation. I've never seen more kindness and empathy anywhere else. They are an absolute expert in the field. I would never feel unsafe or apprehensive in their care. They always have an immediate answer for me when I call with a question. They would never try to get me to make an appointment unless I really needed one. They never left me for an extended period of time and I never felt ignored.

Just as a side note, I was very impressed with how conveniently located this business was and how close it was to other shopping centers. It was so easy to find, I didn't have any trouble at all. I had to wait for a little while after I arrived for my appointment, but I've had to wait longer at other places. One of the first things I noticed about this business was how many different areas of the building were handicap-accessible. I have been to other places where I couldn't tell how someone in a wheelchair could even enter, but they really spent a lot of time to accommodate people with all different needs. Getting an appointment at this office wasn't too difficult.

The restrooms at this provider's office were clean and well-maintained. You could tell that they cleaned them regularly. They've never dismissed any of my concerns as unimportant, and take every concern of mine very seriously. I was very satisfied with my visit. They were helpful and I left feeling encouraged. I knew I was getting top-of-the-line treatment when they told me about what they learned at the latest conference they attended, and how they were incorporating that knowledge into the practice.

After having a GP nearly destroy my kidneys after calling me a hypochondriac because he was too arrogant to listen, working with Dr. Mertz was extremely refreshing. I have been seeing him for an ongoing condition for the past 7 years. I left the country for a while and recently returned. Though I moved about an hour away, I still make the drive to stay with Mertz. When I was initially ill, Dr. Mertz kept looking for answers until they figured out what was wrong. He got me in for an appointment at the Mayo Clinic with remarkable speed. He has answered my questions thoroughly and admitted when he didn't know the answer to something. He reassured my scared mother about letting me go out into the world with great patience (I was 17 when I first was diagnosed). He was quick to learn and remember my name, and asks about my life, then remembers and comments on things months later. He has the human touch that so many doctors lack these days. To put it bluntly, he actually gives a crap.
