I have known Dr Sahler for more than 20 years. He and I worked as colleges for many years until I retired and went into public health. He is widely regarded as one of the smartest physicians on the Thompson staff. He is the PCP to many of the medical staff which says a lot about him as a person and clinician. I have had several very serious illnesses and he was always there for me and on top of the illness and the treatment. While in the hospital, he made frequent visits which were over and above normal "rounds". Although my wife is not his patient, he always sincerely asks about her and how she is doing. Bottom line, he is very well trained, compassionate and engaging. I trust him with my life. When he is talking to you, he gives you his full attention and he is a great teacher as well as a great listener. It is important to note how well he works with other physicians to provide the the best medial care available. He has a great sense of humor and always fun to talk to. He is genuinely interested in my overall health.
