Dr Guillem is an excellent colorectal surgeon. He repaired my rectal prolapse using the safest and least invasive procedure possible, without sacrificing efficacy. I was able to go home after only 3 days, requiring minimal assistance from my family. By postoperative day 6, I was completely independent and able to perform most of my routine daily activities.

Dr. Guillem explained the procedure thoroughly and on multiple occasions, both to me and my daughter. He called my daughter several times to keep her updated. He was extremely patient in answering my numerous questions and allaying my fears.

He carefully explained potential complications and risks and did not make false promises about the outcome. As it turns out, my outcome has been better than I expected. I see significant improvement every day.

Dr. Guillem posseses two crucial skills that all surgeons and physicians should possess: listening and compassion. He is a wonderful role model for the residents whom he trains.
