Dr. P. is just an amazing Urologist. I've had 2 Turp surgeries performed by him. The first was done in 2017, and the second one in 2019. My prostate was about 10 times larger than the average male (220gms).I stayed overnight at South Lake Hospital. Dr. P left the next day for a seminar in Germany. He called the day after from Germany to check on me, which I thought was beyond the call of duty. I was having such terrible issues with an enlarged prostate to where I was was carrying a catheter with me at all times. I did my research on him, before I made an appointment. I left my other Urologist and never looked back. I also like that he was an Electronics Engineer before he became a doctor. My background is electronics, so I can understand the troubleshooting mindset when it comes to problem solving. Dr. P will make sure that you have the absolute best care ever. I didn't realize he had written several books, articles etc. Trust me, the guy is a genius when it comes to any Urologist issues you may have. He teaches this stuff all around the world. I have not had any issues with my prostate since he's provided his medical expertise and services. Trust me, you Will Not be disappointed with his services and professional care.
I saw Dr. Parekattil twice for a concerning medical issue and unfortunately came away very disappointed. He was condescending and accusatory at my second visit, which I found shockingly unprofessional; additionally, I found that his practice utilizes some odd pricing arrangements which I have not seen elsewhere, such as required non-refundable down payments as a prerequisite to scheduling surgery.
Dr. Parekattil's medical advice was not entirely unsound, and a decent portion of it was in accord with what I heard elsewhere (I got a second and third opinion); but I can and did get better medical advice elsewhere, and without the aggressive and rude bedside manner, or the questionable push towards expensive and costly interventions.
