I was in her office for a routine check. One ankle was swollen and when I got down off of the examining table to be weighed I was short of breath. She was concerned m behavior meant a blood clot. She immediately called Dell/Seton ER and got me admitted on an accelerated basis. Within thirty minutes I was in a bay at Dell/Seton ER and wired up. They did six hours of tests and determined that I had small peripheral clots but no interior clot. Condition can be treated with pill medicine. I was discharged, but her quick action and her contacts made a quick-check possible, and could have saved my life.
