Ms Moreno provided a drug education/drug prevention workshop to our Success Pathways high school students at the English Center. The presentation was thorough and informative and kept the youth interested and engaged. it was a great learning experience for them! would definitely recommend her.
Ana provided very useful, up to date information about substance use and abuse to our students and parents. She brought her expertise and humor to our school as she addressed this very important issue. The feedback from both groups was very complimentary. Thanks, Ana, for helping our kids.
Ana gave a presentation to parents at Christopher Columbus High School about the myths and facts about marijuana use. The presentation was excellent and well received by our parents. Many parents called the school the next day saying how pleased they were with Ana's information and delivery. She could not have done a better job. Any school that is trying to help their students to be avoid drug misuse should contact Ana. Thank you Ana and keep up the good work.
My son, Kyle, and I went to see Ana at the recommendation of a dear friend of both of ours. My son was in crisis with addiction and was 19 years old. The first session, I joined Kyle, his walls were totally up and he was resistant. Later, I would learn that was because he was so ashamed and didn't believe he deserved help. Ms. Moreno connected immediately with Kyle at a heart level, I watched the tension and fear leave and his shoulders relax, he began crying when she said "Kyle this is very hard for you isn't it" and the connection was made. Our journey went on for 5 more years with Kyle. Even when Kyle and our family was not part of the counseling with Family Recovery Specialists, Ana continued to talk to me as a friend and when she feared for the worst, she would warn me. Kyle, my beautiful 24 year old son, lost his battled 9/26/16. Ana was right with us at the memorial service along with about 600 others. Now, Ana and I work together speaking at times when she needs a face for the fight, and I share Kyle's story. Ana has many strengths but one of her greatest is how even in the middle of the fight, she keeps her sense of humor. The kids relate, the parents relate and especially the addict relates. She is an angle walking among us.
With the immense, timely and sensitive support of Ana Moreno, my son and my family are whole and healthy again. Her guidance helped us survive the most difficult, and for my son, the most dangerous, time of our lives. Ana IS family to us. Forever.
Ms. Moreno has been a fantastic guide and counsel for our family's journey with son's addiction. She has provided insight, compassion and a clear vision for his journey of recovery. Ana has made intelligent observations and suggestions. I am grateful for he guidance. She is a true professional with experience in dealing with addictive behaviors and the families suffering with this. I am certain we chose the right therapist. We will continue with the family counseling and hope for a bright future.
There aren't enough words to express our gratitude, respect and love for Ms. Moreno.
Before her, our family was on cruise control dealing with regular issues. However, that changed when our youngest was plunged into a crisis. His crisis quickly became the whole family’s crisis.
After a while, we found ourselves out of our depth. That’s when we turned to Ms. Moreno.
The moment we walked into her office, we felt as if we were with family. She was able dig-in and accepted nothing but the best for our child.
This wasn’t an easy feat, of course. We basically had to threaten our kids in order to see Ms. Moreno as a family.Therapy is not something everyone jumps at the chance for. Our family was no different.
My husband and I are so relieved to have crossed paths with such a wonderful, professional and humane person. It is so great to have her on our side.
Even our youngest – whom first went to her kicking and screaming—has started to openly lean on her through this process. We will catch our kid talking to friends and say, "You know that therapy stuff… it really does work. It helped me a lot."
To my husband and I, Ms. Moreno was instrumental in saving a life.
We got our child back—along with our hopes, dreams and laughter. Thanks to her, we are a family once again.
I am the granmother of a 22 year old wonderful young man who has fallen to addiction. Ana Moreno has helped my daughter and son in law in making the right decisions to help my grandson. She has been amazing, not only for her knowledge and expertise, but really for her warmth and humor. She has helped us fight this disease as a system and where we all had things to learn. She has taught me that "nothing changes if nothing changes" and as stupid as that may seem, it is so true. We all, as a family system and members had to start the changes within us before starting to help our loved one. Ana thanks so very much for making our journey more bearable!!!!
Ana is the most incredible human being on the face of this earth. She is my true favorite as she has helped me recover. She can really understand my struggles and has been an incredible help!!!!!!!
