I would highly recommend Jeannie Gedeon, I worked with Jeannie for 2+ years, because I was reluctant and slow to fully commit to the plan she worked on for me. She was extremely understanding and patient and went above and beyond recommending different ideas and other avenues for help with my personal struggles.
Jeannie worked a miracle for me. I came to her with binge eating disorder, overweight and depressed. She gave me guidance, understanding, motivation, and a plan that worked! In a matter of months I felt like a new person. 3 years later I look back at this turning point in my life and owe so much of my success to her and the program she designed. If you are struggling and you are ready for a real change, give her a try. I can not recommend her enough!
I was introduced to Jeannie Gedeon at an outpatient support group she facilitated for individual’s grappling with eating disorders and their families. After meeting Ms. Gedeon and perceiving her experience, expertise and dedication to the group she quickly became my outpatient nutritionist. I struggled with an eating disorder for years and it completely took over every aspect of my life. Ms. Gedeon advocated for me to be admitted to inpatient treatment until I was medically stable enough to work with her one of one. After treatment, Ms. Gedeon helped me rebuild a relationship not only with food but with myself. I never thought it would be possible to lead the life I live today. I am truly grateful to her Ms. Gedeon for relieving me of an unbearable existence and guiding me through the healing process. Thank You!
I would not recommend Ms. Gedeon. I saw her about 11 years ago, but didn't work long with her for no specific reason that I can recall (perhaps I wasn't ready to commit to regular sessions or didn't have enough money as insurance only covered a few sessions). Fast forward to about 2 months ago, I was looking for a nutritionist and heard Ms. Gedeon's name and remembered her vaguely. I called her and we traded quite a few calls before finally we connected. On the phone call, after working out the insurance issues, we started to have a brief discussion about my issues and in short, as I was trying to explain my complicated and frustrating nutritional issues, Ms. Gedeon said, "You're in denial. I can't work with you." Then she hung up on me! I was truly in shock. I have never ever been treated in such an unprofessional and rude way. It was so hurtful and distressing, especially from a person who's job is to help.
