Dr. Widlacki does a great job managing my medications. I like that he doesn't just hand me off to a NP or office person. He works with me directly and cares about me. I like that he will call me back when I have questions.

It's been almost two years that Dr. Widlacki supposedly closed his Palm Harbor office, indicating he accepted a position with a facility in Tampa. It's extremely strange that his private practice is still listed on the internet not to mention a valid phone # with a recording indicating that the office is permanently closed. What's the scoop?

I'm perplexed. I don't remember seeing credentials in (degrees, license to practice, etc.) on the wall in the reception area or on the wall in the doctor's actual office. Also, there is no indication when access his web sites that he is no longer in private practice. Prior to Dr. Widlacki, I saw a psychiatrist in Clearwater. At least one of his sites indicates that he's no longer in practice. I would have hoped that the same thing would hold true for Dr. Widlacki. In any case, I hope he's doing well in his new adventure.

I started seeing Dr. Widlacki some time in 2014. By the end of July, he announced that he accepted a position with a facility in Tampa and would no longer be seeing private patients. What is strange is dialing the phone #, out of curiosity, to get a message regarding the practice. I recently received notification from my health insurance that he will no longer be a participating psychiatrist. Was he continuing to see private patients but limiting the individuals to those of his choosing? I feel as if I was misled.

Dr. Widlacki was probably the best psychiatrist I've seen. He gave me an accurate diagnosis and worked with me in prescribing meds. My last appointment with him was July, 2014. I was told he accepted a position with a local facility and was closing his private practice. However, I have not seen anything to the effect. Also, my insurance still has him listed as a provider. Any input will be appreciated.
