I first became aware of Dr. Amelia Hirota during an online summit in 2012, she was very knowledgeable and seemed really keen to help people. In November 2013 I joined one of her group coaching programs and I have learned more in depth about hormones, possible imbalances in my body, and ways to help restore nourishment and balance to my body. Amelia has thorough webinars, detailed responses to questions, and is always encouraging.

In Nov. 2013, I attended a Fertility Summit and was so impressed with Amelia's knowledge and ability to address issues in a very straightforward, thorough way that I was interested in working further with her to improve our fertility. I connected with Amelia via an online forum, since we live too far away to come to her practice. My husband and I have been TTC for almost 3 years now. Since signing up for Amelia's help, I have received coaching that has been life-changing. This is huge, since my Dad is a doctor and I have had very good experiences with many health professionals, all practicing Western medicine, however. I had no clue how wonderful Chinese medicine was. At no other time in my life have the solutions to my issues been so simple. Thanks to Amelia, I feel 100% better about my health and the possibility of us welcoming a newborn into our family at some point in the future. And if we don't conceive, just the help she has given us with our hormones has benefitted how we feel on a daily basis and that is a lot more than any other medical health professional has done. She is so incredibly informative, every presentation is packed full of tips and information that we've applied to our lifestyle, diet, and medical check ups. Amelia even nailed a Male Factor issue that no one else had ever thought of. It has given us hope for an even greater chance at conceiving. Having my husband take charge of his fertility has been huge for me. It's wonderful to understand how our bodies work, and make changes that positively influence health & fertility.

I discovered in 2011 that I had endometriosis and since then I have been on a quest to find a way to improve my health, and also the hope to get pregnant. The more I have been on this path, and the more it has proven difficult for me to keep positive. Then I attended end of 2013 an online fertility summit in which Dr. Amelia Hirota was speaking. After I heard her speak, I decided to try her coaching program. Since I live in Europe and she works in the US, I was glad that this option was available. Since I started coaching with her, in November, I have found it to be a really amazing experience. Additionally to being very knowledgeable and answering all the questions I had (and I had quite a few!!), she also reassured me with regards to my ability to get pregnant, by knowing that there were additional things I could do to improve my changes to get pregnant. She took the time to understand my symptoms so as to give me the most personalised advice she could, including herbal treatment, and lots of advices for me to implement. I feel now more positive about my ability to get pregnant, I feel supported, and that feels amazing! Thank you Dr. Hirota for being such an amazing woman and practitioner!

My husband and I live very busy lives. Getting pregnant was not on the radar until only a few years ago. Once we were ready, we had no idea how difficult it would be. Now at the age of 35, my husband and I are struggling to get pregnant. After years of heartbreaking attempts and failing multiple IUI and IVF treatments, my husband and I decided to take a more holistic and natural approach. We had heard of Phoenix Fertility Center through a couple that was in the same situation that we were, struggling to get pregnant. My first appointment was last week. I approached the first appointment with lots of positivity, but I would be lying if I didn’t say that I also approached it with some skepticism. However, after meeting with Dr. Hwasook, my doubts were shed. She took the time to listen to my problems and our struggles. She constructed an individual health plan that was suitable for me and that fit my needs. She was also extremely thorough in explaining what changes that should be made in my lifestyle that would put me in a better position in getting pregnant. Some changes included dietary modification including adding supplements, charting BBT, and infrared sauna treatments to name a few. The recommendations were not outrageous, but rather realistic. With these changes Dr. Hwasook was genuinely optimistic that pregnancy was lying in the near future for my husband and I , and the dream of becoming parents would one day come true. I will keep this blog updated on my progress, and in the meantime I highly recommend PFC for anyone who wants to live a healthier life as well as for couples that may be in the same position as my husband and I. I have been a patient of Amelia Hirota for many years, and have nothing but praise and admiration for her. She is an expert on all aspects of fertility issues and a compassionate practitioner, and the personalized care she provides to her patients is absolutely exceptional.

I first started seeing Amelia in August 2008 after my third consecutive miscarriage. During my first treatment, Amelia thoroughly reviewed my medical history and listened patiently and compassionately as I explained the circumstances surrounding the three miscarriages. During subsequent treatments, Amelia educated me on fertility issues as well as healthier lifestyle choices. After only 6 months of treatments, and having implemented the lifestyle changes recommended by Amelia, the physical results were evident (lighter and shorter periods, an increase in my luteal phase from 8 to 11 days, and more steady and consistent basal body temperatures). I continued on Amelia’s program for a total of 9 months before my husband and I tried to conceive again, and it took us another 8 months to conceive. I continued to receive acupuncture treatment throughout my first trimester, and again starting at 35 weeks (Amelia even helped to turn our baby from her breech position). My pregnancy was amazing – no issues and healthy right from the start. Our healthy, beautiful daughter was born in October 2010! I know that without Amelia’s help, I might have never been able to write those words.

Fast forward to today, and my husband and I are trying to conceive again. In order to get my body as healthy as possible for another (fingers crossed!) pregnancy, I returned to Phoenix Fertility Center for acupuncture treatment. Since I’ve maintained all the healthy lifestyle changes that I made several years ago, following Amelia’s holistic fertility program is that much easier the second time around. Although it’s an investment of both time and money, I believe that it’s absolutely the best thing for my physical and spiritual well-being to follow the program. I love that it addresses the root causes of my fertility issues and is helping me to conceive in a very natural way. I know that I’m in the best hands, and am very hopeful that one day soon my daughter will become a big sister!

After being told by a reproductive specialist that my infertility was unexplained and that I should take Clomid, I decided to look for an alternative. Being a healthy 30 year old, I wanted to avoid any unnecessary drugs if possible. A few people had told me that acupuncture had worked for their friends so I decided to look it up. I was hesitant because it was something I had never tried. I was also worried about the cost but decided that it would be money very well spent as long as I followed the protocols carefully and made the most of my experience. Since being a patient at Phoenix Fertility Center, I have become an excellent charter. I take my temperature religiously every morning and use the website Fertility Friend to keep track of it. I have learned how to read these charts and am happy to say that my BBT charts are improving every month. I have also learned about the human body and endocrine system. I personally have estrogen dominance, which we’ve been working hard to fix through acupuncture, diet, infrared sauna, supplements, sleep, and stress management. One of the highlights of working with Phoenix Fertility Center was participating in Amelia’s 10-part webinar series. I learned so much from listening to these. I feel much more knowledgeable about my own body and truly empowered as a result of being a patient at Phoenix Fertility Center. Working with Phoenix Fertility Center is personalized and Amelia and Hwasook have been genuinely invested in my fertility journey. Although infertility can certainly be difficult, my entire attitude has changed since working at Phoenix Fertility center. I am much more hopeful and feel much more in control of my body and its health. One of the biggest things for me was actually figuring out why I wasn’t conceiving. They will figure this out within the first few weeks of visits. The Phoenix Fertility Center is the best experience I’ve ever had with any sort of health issue. The approach is holistic and based on education, empowerment, and lifestyle changes. You will see results if you follow the protocols.

I have worked with Amelia Hirota for over 5 years and have been working with Chris Carlow for about 1 year. My experiences have been very positive. I go for my seasonal allergies and body care maintenance. At first I was concerned about the cost of acupuncture and herbal treatment, being my healthcare provider does not cover my cost. Amelia and Chris are very accommodating and are more than willing to take the time to work out a plan to better health that is affordable. My time spent with Amelia and Chris has been very educational. I am always wanting to know what the reasons to why certain areas of the body are worked on and what my herbal supplements will do for me. I am always given a thorough explanation of my treatment and asked if this is what I want to do and if I feel comfortable with it. The extensive time I have spent with Dr. Hirota and Dr. Carlow we have been able to focus in on the root causes of my allergies and body imbalance. Due to this I have been able to enjoy my life without the constant concern of an allergy attack. My eating, sleeping and general life habits have improved. Along with herbal treatment they have helped develop a diet that is tailored to me and now I understand what a real healthy diet is. I would suggest anyone that has allergies or allergy like issues to see PFC because these symptoms relate to your entire bodies well being.

I started going to Phoenix Fertility Center in March of 2012. After my first visit I almost didn’t return because of the cost and the fact that they wanted me to go weekly. I discussed this issue with my acupuncturist and I have been going every other week since March. After working with my acupuncturist Chris and talking to Amelia by e-mail, I have learned so much valuable information about my fertility issues that I never had heard from my doctors. I did the two of the recommended fertility tests that Chris and Amelia asked me to get done and as a result of the information from the tests, I finally knew what was going on with my body and was put on a program to follow.
I enjoy my visits to PFC and discussing current issues that I am having with Chris. He is a very caring and knowledgeable acupuncturist who with each visit discusses what is going on with my body and the next steps I should take. He has made suggestions on what foods I should be eating. I feel healthier because of his suggestions. I also feel more relaxed after each acupuncture session.
I would highly recommend going to PFC if you have been trying to conceive or have been lucky enough to conceive but have miscarried. If you go to PFC I highly recommend getting the testing done that they suggest right away so you can get started on a program. You will be amazed at the information you will learn about your body from the two tests they suggest you doing. You will not get this information from a doctor.
