Dr. Maynard is the BEST chiropractor in our area; however, his staff is lacking in common courtesy and the scheduling technique is poor. It has happened more than once, but appointments are scheduled for certain days and I make the trip to see him and the office is closed for whatever reason. I have called to get appointments in the past as well (I am an established patient) and often times you have to wait a long time to be seen even though the doctor requests you "not wait so long to be seen." When you explain that his staff was unable to get an appointment sooner he stands up for his staff and does nothing to correct the problem. Once you do get in, he gets the job done.. but the staff and the scheduling is unacceptable. When we have to make trips in to the clinic for an appointment only to find the clinic is closed and no one from their facility has called to let us know we need to reschedule or that their office is going to be closed, I also find THAT unacceptable. I am a professional just as he is and my time is worth a lot. If I were not to show up for an appointment I would be charged for it,. How would he feel if he received a bill for my time to drive there, time off work, etc.. The common courtesy and professional practice is to contact patients if you are not going to be available. And if you are NOT going to be available please do not schedule the appointment.

Dr. Maynard is great. He does not pressure you into repeated appointments. His is really busy though and his wait time is sometimes an hour. He needs to add more hours or stop accepting new patients. He is definitely well thought of in the area by active people.
