Dr Deyer treated me following a whiplash incident. After the first treatment, I began to feel better. He continued to help me make progress in my goal of being pain free. His experience shows in his practice. I feel fortunate that I found about him and was able to receive his treatments.

A phenomenal doctor and individual, Dr. Steven Dryer has been helping me along the road to wellbeing for a little over a year and a half now. When I began treatment at Newport Spine and Sport, I literally could not bend over and touch my toes...or even hang my hands down to my knees without excruciating pain in my mid-back. I worried I might have done severe damage to my spine, so I necessarily but reluctantly reached for my computer to google chiropractors. Being only 19 going on 20, I couldn't live with the idea I may never be able to tie my shoes again, even while sitting on a bed. I dialed the number and heard the phone ring. A friendly warm voice responded, "Good afternoon, you've reached Newport Spine and Sport! This is Rachel..." and this was the beginning of a series of wonderful visits to Dr. Dreyer that not only fixed me up, but made me feel like returning and taking care of my spinal health. The consistency of visit would be nothing without the skill and expertise of Dr. Dryer. He has an overlapping process: first he uses heat and technology to alleviate pain and tension before he gets in there with the deep tissue work. By that time, you're already feeling a hell of a lot better than you did just walking in. Then, he readjusts your spine free from the protest of upset muscles. After a few more alleviating visits, I found out that he knew a lot more about wellness than just what had to do with people's various back problems. He said, "They call it a practice for a reason: we have to continually improve on our knowledge so that people get the best care. I have a great deal of skill in treating injury, but that's not what it's all about. The care I provide is an extension of my own experience. Whether it's keeping up with kids, or maintaining an active lifestyle, it's about getting the most out of life and I want to help others do that." This is how I found out that in addition to chiropractic knowledge, he also does custom foot inserts and more importantly, (at least for me) nutritional counseling. I signed up for a meeting with him, and now I'm on my way to loosing some weight and feeling better about myself. Dr. Steven is first and foremost one of the best doctors I've ever been to see. However, when it comes down to it, he's really an amazing sort of person behind the white coat and educational certificates. It takes a lot to be labeled in that sort of category: the type of doctor you actually enjoy going to see. Thanks always, Doc.
