My family and I have never been as healthy as we are now since starting care with Dr. Myers four years ago. We thank Dr. Myers for changing our lives with the care he has provided to our family and his expertise in spinal correction. At the monthly workshops, we are are constantly learning how to maximize our minds, nutrition, exercise, and how to avoid toxins. Dr. Myers really helped me when I "threw out my back" and I was in extreme pain. I think his billing practices are unethical, however, and thus have stopped seeing him.

I went for several visits and each time I was told I had to pay $50 for the adjustment, which I paid in full at each visit. At what turned out to be my last visit, I asked to pay my balance (because I knew I had received X-Rays during my first visit which I had never paid for). I paid a a total of $315 at that visit.

After I stopped scheduling appointments, however, I received my first written invoice, claiming I owed $112 for each visit, including a $27 fee for "group therapy" which consisted (I'm assuming--I was never told) of the warm up exercises I would do for a few minutes on my own while waiting for my number to be called for my adjustment. When I asked the billing coordinator why the additional fees were not disclosed at the time of each visit, she said she really didn't have an answer for me. All in, I was billed a total of over $800--more than double what I thought I would be paying.

I also was put off by the "mandatory" group session I was required to attend before he would go over my diagnosis or treatment plan, which he also required that my spouse attend. This consisted of probably 40 minutes of a lecture format with other people where he explained the science behind, and benefits of, chiropractic care and about 5 minutes of actually going over my X-Rays with me and telling me what was wrong with my spine. I've never had a physician require that my husband attend a visit with me, and this was not only inconvenient (middle of day--husband had to take time off work and we had to hire babysitter) but seemed like an invasion of my privacy. This was all a preface to his staff then explaining that care would require 48 consecutive office visits costing several thousands of dollars (not covered by my insurance). I've never been able to reconcile the fees I was told I would be charged for in this visit (the only one where I was given anything in writing) with the fees that ultimately showed up on my invoice.

It's too bad he practices this way. I have no doubt he helped me. I would have liked to continue to see him, but I don't trust his billing practices and, therefore, would not trust him to continue to treat me, nor could I recommend him to anyone I know.

I have never thought to see a chiropractor for anything other than back pain. I had a friend who started going to see Dr. Myers and I was intrigued by the results she had received for her health concerns by going to his office. I decided I should give it a try. I was VERY skeptical going in. I didn't think a chiropractor could assist me with my issues with anxiety and insomnia. I received a nerve scan and x-rays to find out that I had lost a significant amount of the curve in my neck, which explains my anxiety and insomnia. Dr. Myers had a new patient night which explains what he believes and how he plans to help people. I learned so much!! The treatment plan that they had picked out for me based on my needs was too expensive for my budget. I am 22 years old and independent. Working full time and going to school. I was surprised that they made a few adjustments and now I pay by the visit. They were VERY willing to work with me so I wasn't put in a position to commit to something I could not afford. I have seen improvement in the concerns I have. Dr. Myers is very gentle and respectful. I never have to wait long to be seen. I know there have been poor reviews for his office, but you can't satisfy everyone and some people are harder to please than others. I would definitely recommend his office to anybody!

This establishment is highly unprofessional. The space where 'adjustments' are performed is in view of the entire office. Your time Mr. Meyers is very limited (I spent about 5 minutes the first time I went and less than that in the following visits). You are treated with disrespect, as an inconvenience, and as a child. The most time I spent with Mr. Meyers was during the x-ray process and he explained to me how our spinal fluid is "like a banana" that can "get squished" when moved around. He proceeded to talk about "God given potential" and used religious terminology to 'support' his information. No matter my religious beliefs, I think using religious arguments to support what he is claiming to be "cutting edge science" and "medicine" to be questionable. I asked him a question pertaining to recovery time, and he evaded that. I was being talked at and given the hard sell, so to speak. Also, throughout the process not once was I notified of the cost or even the existence of a cost, for what was going on. You stand on a vibrating machine for 10 minutes (the reasons for this are listed on a Microsoft Word made pamphlet with zero studies, literature, or reputable sources sited), and each of those 10 minutes of nothing cost 35 dollars. Again, you sit on a chair with weights on your body and move your neck around unassisted, this cost 44 dollars. After that, I spent my less than 5 minutes with this "doctor" and paid 50 dollars for that as well. There were four employees (including Mr Meyers). When I questioned them on the cost before hand, I was dismissed and told 'insurance would handle it' (but also told that I 'must come in or else you could suffer from terrible pain, side effects, long term damage, etc.). I ended up paying over 1000 out of pocket, and when inquiring about the process the receptionist has told me how I am 'irresponsible'. Overall this business (because do not be fooled, it is no medical practice, a business eating up the weak with their ruthless capitalism, if I've ever seen one).
Also they have advertisements in their office claiming to "cure cancer" and the "swine flu". They argue against using practical medical treatments, vaccines, vitamins, and surgeries; all the while trying to sell you their brand. This establishment has been a demonstration of grimy business people who exploit the physically unable and members of lower economic classes.
Beware! Do not put yourself in harms way!

Worst chiropractic experience ever. The whole thing is a sales pitch and a ruse to keep you coming back and spending thousands of dollars that your insurance company won't cover. Dr. Meyers and his staff continually treat you like an idiot. He expected me to shell out over $4,000 to pay for services that he will render in the future. He was rude and pushy and I would not recommend him to anyone. Do NOT go to his office.

My girlfriend and I went and had a complete program (I think that was about 18 - 20 sessions) which we started in 2008. I paid in cash and spent about $2,000 or so while my girlfriend used the finance company that Dr. Myers recommended. This all began in the summer of 2008. The finance package was one where you didn't pay for the first 6 months and then you paid $200 per month thereafter if you did not pay it off in full by then. Well, it is now December 2012 and my girlfriend is STILL paying the $200 a month. That is over $7,000 that has been paid out. I find it pretty disgusting that Dr. Myers is using ANY company that he can find to use as a vehicle for people to pay him what he requires (the interest was set at, I think, 19%). Yes, he did do the talk sessions where he gets a whole bunch of people to sit down and listen to what he has to say, and he comes across as very sincere. But when you actually start the program he does the same adjustments every time. The upshot of it was that my adjustments changed the angle of how my head sat on my spine little if at all. If I remember it actually worsened by a degree or so. And one of the other reviewers is also correct in that you sit in an area where there are rows of chairs and he has three to four booths that he goes to and spends about 3-4 mins with each person. All for $40 or so per time. We then spend time stretching our necks via contraptions that we use which are attached to a wall, then spend time with weights on our heads and hips. So we end up getting adjusted for about 3-4 minutes and the other stuff takes about 30 minutes. All in all, due to the fact that my girlfriend is still paying for this program, and the both of us obtained very little improvement, I consider it a CON to go and do this program, even though I did not think so at the time. It was when looking at the reviews and then finding out that my girlfriend is STILL paying for the loan that was taken out to do this that I saw how blind the both of us had been. An osteopath is probably a far better type of practioner to go to as they take the time to properly go over every part of your body and address what is needed. They spend an hour or so with you and exhibit much more concern about YOU than Dr. Myers does.
