My personal thoughts about this so called Dr James - Be very careful. My past experience with her were very negative & I have had others to shear their personal interactions & they all received negative reports. I advise that all interactions with her to be recorded & that her reports are reviewed by another person that is qualified in the same manner as herself.

ZERO STARS!!! Don’t waste your time or money with Amy. I hired her to do a comprehensive psychological evaluation for my 25 year old son with severe mental illness.
What I got was a $1200.00 incomplete evaluation with typos she didn’t even run spell check. I feel like I have been scammed.

Dr James has treated my child. She has been patient, calm, and very understanding. She has assisted us through an extremely difficult divorce. I would recommend her to anyone looking for quality care.

Dr James advertises her expertise with exceptional children. My son had behavioral and emotional problems and mild autism. He was difficult to evaluate. She told me that he was the worse behaved child she had seen out of 300 young patients. Instead of trying multiple testing sessions and establishing rapport with my son - she characterized him as borderline retarded @ IQ of 70. We were certain that she was wrong. Her diagnosis harmed my child as it lowered teachers' expectations of him. He has been re-evaluated by a patient and competent psychologist who found his IQ to be 127. I would never recommend Dr Amy James to anyone. I payed out of pocket for a useless and harmful evaluation. My child was damaged by her hasty and negative diagnosis..

Dr James and all of her staff are amazing professionals. Dr James really knows her stuff. I had been dealing with PTSD in private for over 10 years when I decided to go seek help. She explained everything to me and I felt a great sense of relief and validation that I am not crazy or weak, but my brain and my body were doing what they were trained to do. If someone would just have told us this a long time ago, my life may have changed earlier.
