I saw Mark Rayman many years ago in Claremont and San Diego, California. He was probably the best psychiatrist I ever had (and I had many). Fortunately, I overcame some serious and long-standing problems. He was always totally present in our sessions. He's a great therapist, so I didn't feel the need for another therapist I have been stable for over 30 years, with the same man I met in San Diego and married to him for 23 years now. We are senior citizens now, became foster parents ( which included a $1200 psychological evaluation at my expense and a psychiatrist evaluation. We prevailed. Although we never intended to adopt a child, the last one stole our hearts (they all do). He is a very special boy with very special needs (ADHD--11 on a scale of 1-10, on the Autism Spectrum, and has a genetic disorder called Neurofibromatosis 1, wears a brace on his leg and can suffer tumors from neurofibromas on his skin to tumors anywhere on any nerve in his body). I cannot thank Mark enough for the work he did with me. I never expected to be here. Other than the evaluation for foster parent, I have never seen a psychiatrist in 30 years. Mark is conscientious, personable and caring.
