Dr. Verrecchio is an independent practitioner with a number of important things going for him. He possesses a winning combination of hard won experience, deep respect for the mysteries of the human mind, gravitas leavened with humility; consequently, there is a patient centered approach to wellness, and a willingness to take on the hard stuff.

Dr. V also makes it clear to his patients that he is genuinely interested in their problems, that his overhead is not coming out of their hides, and that he enjoys what he does.

This gentleman's booming informality and warmth can be disarming, perhaps for some off-putting (particularly if they are used to golden boys or reedy types who lead with their heads). But Dr. Verrecchio is the real deal -- a
man with IQ to burn and sterling instincts.

As a poly-axial patient, a father of two beautiful daughters with plenty of issues, and moreover as a member of the professional community, I can recommend this
gentleman without reservation for consultation. You may or may not forge a therapeutic bond.

What I know for sure is this -- I come back and lay out the cash money because I like the sense of agency that it secures for me. I also do it I -- quite frankly -- because I've come to expect disappointment and frustration when I deal with mental health specialists who take insurance, especially mine. My disappointment and frustration is virtually guaranteed if I entrust my diseased psyche to one of my brethren who have signed away their souls to practicing 'follow-up med checks', those abysmal 15-minute Jiffy Lube shrink dips that are not I assure you mere urban legend. But I digress.

The bottom line here is that this community is blessed to have an independent psychologist who is highly experienced, personable, reliable and known to work efficiently with several medical doctors in the area. His office is about a half mile from Holy-G in Camp Hill where 21st Street intersects the 11/15 bypass.
