One dr there was very disrespectful to me. Started yelling at me when he called me back per the answering services request (after hours) My husband had just been killed in a car accident & family members thought I should call & ask for a sedative. Hopefully, he will remember the incident & never ‘jump the gun’ like that ever again. (I had never called & bothered him after hours like that before, so don’t understand why he did that.) On a brighter side, Amy was amazing as my counselor.
Yes Ann was my mentor and counselor. The DBT training is fantastic! that was the best year of my life! I miss going there, and learning and enjoying my therapeutic times with Ann. The other staff treats you with dignity, respect and helpfulness. I would recommend this place to anyone who is very much in need to get guidance on how to figure life in general and find that inner peace we all are looking for. Valued and appreciated for who you are! Forget looking for it in other people ~ check inside yourself and discover your perfect gemstones, rubies and diamonds!
I was a client at North River for several years. During that time I got to know several of the doctors and counselors. Above all else, I felt respected, supported and genuinely cared about. If I hadn't had to move, I would still be working with them.
DBT program is very good. It is especially helpful for people struggling to control emotions and stress.Ann is excellent in leading the class. Problem: Lately it is difficult to get through by phone and they don't call you back. I'm frustrated about that and can't understand why. I had an intake and then spoke to the office manager who said she would find me a good counselor and never called back. I've tried calling several times and no one answers. I will try again.
