Through our sessions, Greg has demonstrated to me that he is an experienced psychologist and a high quality counselor. Greg is a strong believer of holistic caring for clients. He is highly committed to helping me with all of my concerns whether they are professional challenges, personal challenges, great challenges, or small challenges. Greg also displays strong counseling skills. He is a good listener, demonstrates an interest in understanding my problems, verbally acknowledges concerns that are important to me, and shows concern towards my well-being. Throughout our work, he has exhibited great emotional maturity and knows how to develop a helping relationship. We work relationally, and therefore, we have a mutual understanding that allows us to attack and discuss difficult issues. We have an ongoing partnership built on goal-setting and understanding, allowing me to be open about issues that are relevant to me. Greg has listened, created a rapport, and built a relationship so we can work together. Greg builds trust and engagement in our relationship by demonstrating warmth, genuineness, and empathy and by ensuring that I am comfortable. Greg has enabled me to change in both minor and major ways so that I can experience life to its fullest. He is ready, willing, and able to find counseling approaches that are fruitful for me. He has taken direct action to help me by providing important feedback, insights, and guidance from a vantage point different from my own. Greg, as a skilled counselor, knows how to effectively use different counseling styles to match a client’s needs. He has learned that there is no “right” way to counsel and knows how to sway and fluctuate between counseling styles in response to events and circumstances to meet my needs. His process is dynamic.
