They never have that typical, annoying music playing here. If they do play music it is soothing and appropriate for the setting. We patients can have conversations or watch TV, or ask the staff questions without shouting. They are an absolute expert in the field. I would never feel unsafe or apprehensive in their care. Most of the time, they don't call me back for quite a while, but they've called me back quickly once or twice. They make an extra effort to get to know their patients and find out what they need. They always remember me and make me feel very important. It was nice to see them treat their staff with so much respect. It was obvious that they had a good relationship with all of their staff members. Staff even "secretaries" are warm & enthusiastic + helpful. They are proactively helpful: if a patient seems confused, the office people ask what you need. In an ironic twist, I have found that psychiatrists and NP-Psych's are actually LESS perceptive about the need for help, than the desk staff or the counselors. I have found the H-H counselors to be amazing, amazingly good people. They lose counselors; desk staff last forever.
