I have learned that when one is looking for a therapist, it is best to see a few and see which one fits your personality the best. Dr. Falk only listens and agrees with the patient (ie. "it's traumatized you" or "it just takes time") and after at least 10 sessions, my partner and I gave up because it did seem like she was collecting for retirement. Perhaps being in this field has jaded her and she probably doesn't even believe in psychotherapy after all these years of work. She doesn't seem to care about her clients. How do I know? Well, today my partner and I went to see a new therapist and I was amazed at how proactive he was at jumping right into the issues we have. He had a genuine passion in resolving our issues (and it was only the first day). He did a lot of talking that showed he did study psychology and it seems like he does believe in his work...which is pretty important when you're dealing with people's mental health!!
