While what you have written based on your questionaire is correct, I wish to be much more specific. Early in December, I was in to see Dr. Caratini and probably my 12th-15th visit.. Instead of Dr. Caratine, who had taken over from my original Dr. Lawrence, I met Nurse Mary who I loved. She was attentive, a good communicator, compassionate and rightly so worried about me as I was leaving. I'm suffering tremendous depression and have been all month. Nurse Mary took the time and walked me to the receptionist desk me after the appointment. She told the receptionist that I needed a counsellor appointment/referal RIGHT AWAY. Nurse Mary didn't leave until she made this point clear. She also wanted me to come back in less than one month even though I am usually seen every 3 months. So I came back for my second meeting with Nurse Mary but a teleconference (?) session, which I've never had before. When I came in for this visit, I was 8 minutes late. Unusual for me as I am always on time or early. The entire staff was standing around in the office and one person finally came to the window. I gave her my name and she told me that my appointment would have to be rescheduled because I was 10 minutes late. It wasn't when I walked in. I was 8 minutes late. Often I have waited over 30-40 minutes for my appointments with Dr.'s Lawrence and Caratini, so imagine my surprise that I wasn't allowed the slightest leway and was being turned away. I was very upset. The receptionist could see that I was starting to cry at this 'reschedule' announcement. I then made the effort to ask about why I hadn't heard anything back about a counsellor referal. The receptionist could not have cared less! She rudely asked "what insurance do you have?" which is Humana and Medicare. She then rudely said "that's why -no one here can be a referal for you because of your insurance." Is that true? You cannot refer me due to insurance? I don't believe that. And no one ever called to ask me or refer me or check up on me -nothing. The depth of my depression has been sitting around bottom of the barrel this holiday season and I feel like I am hanging on by a thread. Your receptionists answer to my request for help was go home, someone will call you. How unacceptable is that? I'm really upset. Of course, no one has called. If it wasn't for Nurse Mary, I wouldn't come back to your office, I'd rather drive to a different city to see someone if I had to. But Nurse Mary was wonderful and if I am to make another appointment, it will be with a request to see no one other than Mary. Just yesterday, your mental health facility turned out a very depressed woman with no offer of help. I want someone to know how badly I was treated. You should look into more qualified, attentive and compassion receptionists. Still hurting, Laurel Fleming Cerritelli

I was in a lot of pain during my visit that I feel could have definitely been avoided if they had been more careful. Remembering clients by name is not a very big concern for the staff here because every time I come in for an appointment I constantly have to remind them who I am. It would be nice to be recognized at least once is all I'm saying. It was easy to get the appointment time that worked for my schedule. If I compare them to others in their field, I wouldn't say they're the worst, but they're definitely not the best. The one thing I couldn't believe during my appointment was that they took a personal call right in front of me. I found it to be incredibly rude.
