The staff here cares. I can't say enough about the treatment my animals have been given. My first experience was when I got my new dog who promptly came down with worms. Dr. Dodge took care of the poor thing and didn't even charge me because of the fact he took pity on the situation. The second time I went was with my other dog who happened to swallow a rope. Again Dr. Dodge was wonderful and patient and kind to my animal and the dog turned out just fine. My third visit was with my very ill kitty who he was incredibly kind to but let us knowin the best way possible that it was in the best interest to put him out of his misery. We felt blessed that he was with Dr. Dodge when he was put down. We couldn't bear to watch. And today my poor dog came down with a neurological issue based on possible poisoning- Dr. Dodge took us right in and told us exactly what to do. He didn't end up giving the care but he was reassuring and yet again kind. I will always bring my animals to town and country for the staff and the specially the wonderful Dr. Dodge

Last Thurday, our group home cat, Onyx, was taken in after suddenly not being able to move its hind quarters. She was in obvious pain, and the towel she was laying on was bloody - so the vet (a woman) diagnosed her as having a UTI and sent her home with oral antibiotics to take twice daily. Onyx lay suffering for almost 3 days, and I finally took her to the emergency vet in Baldwinsville who did what SHOULD have been done in the 1st place - x-rayed her, and diagnosed her with two fractures of the left rear femur. She's on pain control now, and is starting the healing process. Why Town & Country would assume that a cat presenting with blood and pain in the hind quarters would necessarily be a UTI, without checking for physical trauma, is beyond me. I very much question the positive reviews on this site. I had the unfortunate experience to take a different cat to T&C a few years ago, and the male doctor (bald, don't know his name) was rude and condescending, and I vowed I would never go there again (Onyx was not taken to T&C by me). They are the closest vet to our group homes in the valley, but we will be taking our cats elsewhere in the future - for their sakes.
