After nearly twenty-five years of being a customer of Drs. Randel and Julie Smith, today was unexpected and most disappointing. We had a male Catahoula pup that someone shot in the back legs. One leg would be an easy fix, the other would need to be amputated. As this was an incredibly sweet and gentle dog that my grand daughter absolutely adored I was more than willing to spring for it's care. The problem is, as a 100% disabled veteran I only get paid once per month - four days from now.
I had my daughter call up to the office to ask about getting him taken care of - I was sure there would be no problems considering the many thousands of dollars that we had spent with them over the years.
Guess what! They said no! "We don't take payments". Money hungry A**Holes... So, my daughter had to put the pup down, grand daughter is still crying.
No more business from this farm or this family, EVER!
I've been places before where they were argumentative and angry, so I was nervous that I would encounter that here as well. Instead, they were very calm and understanding the entire time. I could tell they really care about everyone who visits them. They had one of the cleanest offices I've ever seen at any vet. I appreciated that they took the time to create a sterile environment for their patients. Their primary concern is what's best for me, and they only give me the advice that would benefit me the most. They listened closely to everything I was telling them, and showed a lot of attention to detail. I've never had to worry about them forgetting something or not reading my information correctly, which I've encountered at other places.
