Dr Shifrin operated on "Sugar," my beautiful "mutt," who developed cataracts, as a complication of her diabetes. She can now see a cat at 50 paces, and her mood and attitude is great. Dr. Shifrin has a great "dog bedside" manner, and he is so great at explaining medications, procedures and answering questions. I trusted him with my best friend--so should you!

We took our 1 year old Golden Retriever to Doctor Shifrin for an issue with her eye. He was very detailed in his exam of her. Although the results of her exam were not good we were 100% satisfied in his explanation of the problem and why it was not correctable. He quickly said that the problem was probably genetic and was not causing her any pain.

He was very gentle with her and took a lot of time talking to us in explaining the issue and gave us some reading material on it. It is something that has been seen before in dogs, but it is rare. It has only affected one eye and for that eye she is partially blind.

We will return in 6 months for a follow-up visit. He made recommendations on how to care for her to keep her "bad eye" moist and clean, as necessary. From what we learned we will be able to better address the situation and give her the best life as she matures. She will be with us for a long time. Highly recommend this business/Vet.

He/she would never do that! Their full attention is always on me.

No, they didn't wear any cologne
