Dr. Piekes has to be one of the best vet ear doctors in the nation. No one could figure out what was going on with my dog's ear, she is a 12 year old Kerry Blue Terrier. Dr. Piekes was able to find out that she had a tumor in her ear, we just had the ear canal surgery she recommended and the hospital found out it was cancerous, we don't know yet to what degree it has spread. But I will always credit Dr. Piekes for taking her out of her pain and potentially saving her life to give us more time with our precious Meg. Than you Dr. Piekes, you have a heart of gold. Best, Robin Bartky
Dr. Peikes, is amazing, through and is able to really nail down some difficult skin issues. Dr. P has graciously helped many of our animals at The Montclair Animal Shelter.
I don't have the right words to express my admiration and appreciation for Dr. Peikes. She is not only brilliant but willing to listen, observe, and create a treatment plan specifically designed to work for both the owner and the patient. My highly aggressive and reactive dog absolutely loved her, as much as she loved anyone other than her immediate family. Dr. Peikes would come into the treatment and Wendy would leap up on the table and go belly up. Wendy knew the drill and was happy to oblige. Dr. Peikes was never intimidated by my dogs muzzle or her occasional outbursts. Her diagnostic skill are unsurpassed and she never fails to keep looking to find the right solution for the dog/owner team. She made what was normally a very stressful time with a highly aggressive/reactive dog a pleasure. I can not recommend her highly enough. Thank you Heather, from the bottom of my heart. Sincerely, Cathy and Wendy (may she rest in peace and may I see her again).
Dr. Peikes treated my very itchy dachshund in her Manhattan office. She is, by far, the absolute best vet ever. And not only that she is very kind, gentle, and patient with pet caretaker and pet alike. You could never find a better vet!
