Our dog was diagnosed with Lymphoma a month ago, as one of two places in Jacksonville that treats animals with this disease, we tried this one first. Big mistake. Our first appointment was scheduled during the week at 9 a.m. When we arrived we were told the specialist had to tend to animals in the back and we would not even be seen until 3 or 4 hrs later (for working people this was unrealistic). We left our dog, I came back to pick him up and after being there all day there were no new definitive details given, when we finally spoke with the doctor, he droned on about possible treatments, but couldn't give me specifics catered to my dog's case. To his credit, he did deduct our bill for making us wait in the morning and having us some back. But that was the only positive. We left, feeling unconfident in having this place treat our dog. We contacted our vet and told her about our experience, she tried to gather more info for us from the specialist at NF. He did not return her calls and the place basically told my vet, my dog would have to undergo another surgery so they could determine the type of cancer (even though his removed lymph node was still sitting in the lab that analyzed it after his original surgery). Our vet referred us to the other place in Jax who specializes in this type of disease, SEVO-Med. The experience at SEVO was so much better. My husband took our dog in, was seen by a very professional and caring specialists, and was out of there in two hours. Moreover, they typed up everything they discussed so my husband and I could review the notes together. We recently took our dog back to SEVO and he had his first (conservative) cancer treatment. SEVO was so professional, sympathetic, thoughtful and gave us much more confidence than North Florida. Please, if you have a sick dog, do not think this is the only place that can help you, it was a waste of time, energy and I truly believe they just care about making a buck. They certainly did not value our time.

We went to the Orange Park location and would strongly recommend you avoid this place at all cost. If you do make the mistake of going plan on waiting around 90 minutes plus. My wife sat around waiting for the “doctor” for 90 minutes and finally had to leave to keep a work appointment (I guess they don’t believe other people’s time is valuable also) and left. They then had the nerve to call and tell her to pay for the appointment THEY never kept. DO NOT GO HERE!
