Dr. King has cared for our horses since 2012; he is an outstanding veterinarian in all respects, and keeps our horses healthy, one an Off-The-Track Thoroughbred, now aged 19, and one a Tennessee Walker, now aged 29. Pine Meadow Equine offers a thorough Wellness Plan, which covers most vaccinations, health checks, and fecal/deworming, and dental checks. (Other services and dental work are additional).

He is wonderful at handling the horses and they are always calm in his presence. While he cares for all breeds, he has bred and cared for Thoroughbreds, specifically, He is consistently kind, gentle, and respectful of all the horses in his care.

We love Dr. King. He tried valiantly to save our 35 year old pony, that was running and playing the week prior, that Dominion Equine was just going to let die. If we had Dr. King first, we would still have our beloved pony. Dominion failed to do crucial standard blood work that would have told the story early on. He died of complications from a tooth abscess that Dominion Equine did not remove. Dr. King was able to pull it no problem (the roots were non-existent, it was so rotten). He had blood work results next day. He was above and beyond helpful. It was just too late. Dominion wasted three crucial days, pony not eating or drinking. They refused to do blood work, even with me asking several times. They just wanted to let him die without a diagnosis. Dr. King is our hero, we love him for going the extra mile.
