When I took my cat to Dr. Sharin because he was spitting up (as opposed to throwing up), she did an FIV test and found he was positive. At that point, she was very dismissive (I guess FIV cats don't count?) and said he just had an upper respiratory infection due to the FIV, and that he probably would be find on antibiotics. Well, after a couple of days, I saw no improvement, so I took him to another vet ... who listened to his chest and decided on an X-ray. The cat had a 7" tumor growing from his esophagus to beyond his stomach, which was crushing his internal organs. THIS was why he was sick. I had to have him put down that day. She totally missed the cancerous tumor simply because he had tested positive for FIV and decided the diagnosis from that. Because she was close, I took another cat to her with an eye infection turned corneal ulcer. When I mentioned I had also used colloidal silver with the drops she gave me 2 weeks previous, she exploded and told me it was useless and dangerous, took one look at the cat's eye (without the aid of a light, and from 8" or more away) and said it was worse, after dramatically face palming her forehead and shaking her head. She never even did the stain like she should have to test whether the eye was worse (the other vet had done so the week before and told me the eye was healing!), but rather condemned my cat for my use of colloidal silver, a known antimicrobial. I'm done. I will take my cats to a real, caring vet from now on.
