This evening at 8:00 p.m. a Ms. Desmond called my home to advise that she needed to re-schedule tomorrow's appt. (11:00 a.m. - 4-11-13).

Ms. Desmond explained that she was sorry for the such short notice and to be calling me at 8:00 p.m., but that Dr. Hall had to schedule two more surgeries tomorrow, and he could not meet me for a consultation.

I thought I was being bumped up to another time slot! I explained again to Ms. Desmond (just as I told staff when I set up the appt. two weeks ago) that I would be taking a vacation day) that I had both Thursday and Friday off.

Ms. Desmond said she could maybe "squeeze" me in at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, 4-12-13...with emphasis on "maybe".

I guess Ms. Desmond felt a slight pang of guilt, as she explained that when insurance approvals come they have to "right away" schedule the surgeries.

I told Ms. Desmond that I would consider this "providential" and that I would regard the cancellation as a sign I "maybe" should be entertaining not using Dr Hall.

I told Ms. Desmond I had no intention of re-scheduling.

Who knows, maybe it is divine intervention....but certainly it is a distinct indication that Dr. Hall and his practice is highly unprofessional and unsympathetic.

I definitely would prefer to see a truly professional physician with a caring staff.....and plan to keep looking!
