I feel like pretty much all my appointments there were pointless. I NEVER saw the Dr. (Dr. Lee) once in the 9 months I was. A patient, and I had to go every 2-4weeks for the 1st 6 mo's, then monthly.
Janeene is a terrible Nurse Practionor, she NEVER discussed my referral for pain management w/me, never asked me any questions, I found out the 2nd to my last appointment that she was treating me for a completely different condition!! My word, all they really do is treat you like cattle, everyone hurdles in, does basic (symptom review) paperwork, UA then wait, on 2 occasions I waited nearly an hour, but most of the time it averaged about 20 mins, and once she came in the room it was awkward, she'd start typing, assumed my responses to the symptom checklist paperwork required at each visit, write me for another month of pain medication, shake my hand and leave! I swear they service mostly Medicare and Medicaid patients, get them hooked on pain med's, especially the elder, so they need to go, that's exactly how they make money, bill $450 for a 30 min Dr appt.,with a MA,, when patients receive maybe 5 minutes, and without the Dr or his MA, they get them physically and mentally dependent on the med's so they NEED to go frequently for their RX's plus the bonuses they receive per rx written from the pharmaceutical company's, all this guarantees thousands daily : hire medical assistants for low pay, (actually they don't even do that cause they rotate MA's, who work for free during their required internship hours, rarely will u see the same MA working after 2-3 months) Hire no other Dr's just a handful of ANP's, who earn less then 1/2 of the Dr., while they bill the state for actual Dr time, also they don't have required residency like Dr's do, therefore they've had NO experience with patients, no wonder they NEVER discussed my health problems and short and/or long term goals, or complications related to long term use of pain medication, never discussed that they're habit forming and completely left out the fact that they're physically addictive, and in my case created more health issues, and Janennee just gave me more med's in her unprofessional way to put a bandaid on top of my health issues.
After about 6-7 months I eventually searched for another pain clinic, took some time and money but found Penny in Mt Vernon, she's amazing!! Once I signed a new opiate contact agreement with her I went to my next appt to inform Janenne I was switching care, keep in mind I had not filled any RX's w/my new Dr., new I was already in opiate contact looking for her to be my new provider, once we agreed on how we'd manage my health care needs, what options I had available, something Seattle Pain Clinic NEVER did. So the day I went back Janennee came in my room, after keeping me waiting over 20 mins and freaked out, asking in a loud, yelling intimating voice "how long have you been seeing so & so!!!" She did not allow me to answer or talk, as she continued yelling at me that "I'm out of there and that I violated our contract, and to sign the paper now! I attempted to inform her I have a right to receive a second opinion, ice done nothing wrong and to stop yelling at me, she was treating me like a child!
Lastly, the other staff was not friendly in the least, at any of my appt's, towards me or other patients around when I was there, I really didn't feel welcome there and could tell other patients felt the same, like we were all just a Hurd of cows. Their reception should NEVER be allowed to work with customers, she's a younger girl who obviously hates her life and job, never smiled, asked how r you, she's hand us pen to sign in, without EVER looking up at you, and a few times she'd be on the phone, for both personal and business purposes and wouldn't ask you to wait kindly nothing, expected you to know that's what you should do, I witness elders, disabilitied ppl with assisted walking devises stand and wait, and stand and wait some more. After you sign in she hands you the cup to urinate in along with the symptom checklist paper, tell you how much you need to pay, I don't even know the color of her eyes! Then lack to tell you the bathroom (the only 1 in the entire office) was in use with others waiting in the very small and crowded hallway, which in also in front of patients rooms, which reminds me of how unhappy these ppl are, I remember waiting in front of another person who had a walker while holding the papers on a clipboard a sterile peeing cup,who obviously needs some assistance, while waiting for another patient who's inside the tiny single bathroom who also seems to needs help, one of the ANP's and a patient exited a exam room seemed annoyed at the inconvience that they needed to wait cause there was no way to get through to the front office, a single 7-8 steps away, so when the man in the bathroom exited I offered it to the more handicap person, they told me they we're running late And I should go first, plus the gentleman who was occupying it, the one that took forever and needed assistance mumbled an apology for the mess he had made, so now I'm suppost to go before the disabilitied elder lady holding too many things into a FILTHY overused, shared bathroom. Im certain some paients may of had their UA come back dirty cause it got mixed from the mess of the person who used it previously. So there you have it, I would NOT recommend this place unless you're an addict and don't care, maybe all the pain med's they give numbs patients so they simply don't care or notice I'm not sure, but I can only assume that Dr Lee, who seems pleasant and the only individual who smiles in that office, who also has an extended, superior and lengthily education along with years of, I can only assume, successful surgical experience, and amazing thousand dollar outfits and out of this world designer shoes cannot be okay with this, perhaps in Asia this type of professional business office is considered "normal".
Good luck, and if you truly want good quality pain management clinic with a lot of options I'd highly recommend Wash Pain center in Edmonds, also in Everett, and if you just want pain management medications Id highly recommend Penny, in Mt Vernon or Olympia, she takes the time to discuss options, the pros and cons of each, she really seems to care, offers empathy with her professionissm, the only downfall she only accepts cash, you'd need to get your insurance to refund your appt's on your own
