Dr. Laurence (Larry) Nicholas is without a doubt the most kind sounding older man you'll ever meet. He's like a flower child version of Santa Claus, complete with grey beard and tropical themed shirts. Unfortunately, his looks are deceiving Like a wolf in sheep's clothing, he may be the most damaging person your family will ever meet if you're going through divorce court and have been targeted for a 730 Custody Evaluation. Do not, and I repeat do not make the same mistake our family made and waste $10,000 and nearly 7 months of your lives. Regrettably, I didn't research him prior to using his services. After-the-fact, thee are no good reviews of him. The only information appears to be from advertisements he places in the local bar association journals, which appears to have contributed to him obtaining a high number of referrals through attorney's working the family law circuit. In my opinion, his motivation appears to be solely monetary and I feel he is a blemish on an otherwise professional community of mental health professionals servicing the family law industry. It's shocking that there are so few reviews on him. You'd think that people would be more than willing to speak out about his services, but many may be reluctant to say anything because of the power he holds with the family court and family's lives. Proceed at your own risk if you choose to retain his services. Without a doubt the least objective person I have run across.
The man falt out lied to me and should be out of business and in jail. They are by far the worst psychologist I've ever seen or heard of. It seemed like they had just started practicing yesterday. I can tell it is maybe not a top priority to maintain a professional appearance here. They didn't look terrible, but there is definitely lots of room for improvement. They seemed stuck in the past. I was nervous about being exposed to archaic treatment methods. They answered my questions and spent a lot of time with me. I didn't feel like they were trying to rush my appointment at all. They didn't tell me anything about my treatment options. I left feeling very confused and frustrated.
