Now that my son is over 18 years and my case is no longer in Family Court/Children's Court I can finally right a review. Marjorie Mitchell completed a 730 Psychological Evaluation per the Family courts order on my son, his father and myself. Her recommendation was horrible even after my son's father tests showed he lied... Her recommendation ended us up in Children Court with my son choosing never wanting to see his father ever again! I was open and honest with her but she never listened to me! Beware if she evaluates you!!!!

Mitchell performed a 730 evaluation of my granddaughter's mother and her probable child abuser father in 2010. She did a sloppy job. A 733 reviewer pointed out "five main weaknesses" and "a series of fatal flaws" in her report. But the judge followed Mitchell's recommendation to lift the father's professional monitor effective 1 April 2011 and grant him weekends, including overnights, alone with the child. The judge ordered Mitchell to perform a 730 re-evaluation this year (2013). This is not ethical because, according to a distinguished psychologist, Mitchell might be influenced by "expectancy effects." There was much evidence against the probable abuser: input from another therapist, ongoing fused outer labia of the child upon return from visiting her father, an account by the child that the father tried to kiss her with feces on his lips (coprophilia), and a report by the child that her father has a "tool" that goes up the "butt" and "tickles." Mitchell listened to a recording of the probable abuser curse me in the police station lobby, and she heard his angry demeanor toward the mother in her office. She said she would refer him to a person who specializes in anger and in child abuse. She never did. And she ignored most of the evidence against him. Instead, she turned on the mother, recommending that the probable abuser have complete legal and physical custody of the child, the mother see the child twice a week under professional monitor, and the mother and her family be in therapy until such a time when they no longer claim that the abuser has abused the child. I should point out that Mitchell believes in parental alienation and the use of polygraphs, both of which the American Psychological Association does not endorse.
