My son saw this psychologist for a couple months. While the psychologist himself was okay, the practice as a whole is greedy and horrible. I was the victim of credit card fraud and my card number was changed. As a result my credit card was declined on their auto bill. Instead of just calling me or asking me to fix it, they immediately charged me a late fee not only for that appointment but for a previous appointment that occurred before the credit card was changed that they happened not to run until two weeks later. They didn't send a bill, didn't give me so much as a week to fix it -- just slapped on these fees. This is absurd.
When I told them I thought the fees were unacceptable they refused to let my son see the psychologist anymore. I told them I would gladly pay the copay but not the arbitrary fees. They did not care. After months of developing a bond with this psychologist, my son had to stop his therapy.
I tried to call Dr. Lavine a couple times to see if he could resolve it but he never bothered to return my calls.
Looking at other reviews on Yelp and such, I am not the only one who has had problems with their horrible greedy practices.
For a psychology group to greedily try to take advantage of people who need their help is simply unethical and immoral.
