Lane was selected, and financed, by my ex for reunification therapy with my children. Throughout a toxic legal battle, I was worried that Lane would represent my ex in court who was claiming alienation (based on previous reviews). However, through out the year of treatment, Lane provided me with information about my children, their concerns, and heard mine. I genuinely think that he was selected by my ex based on reviews and with hopes that Lane would state alienation. He did not. In fact, Lane shared that he saw no benefit to the parenting style of my ex and that the children did not respond to it. He expressed concern that my ex showed no interest in co-parenting despite his attempts to include me in therapy. He then signed a witness testimony stating such in addition to his observations of my ex belittling and demeaning me in front of the children. My ex terminated him immediately following. I hope this eases the mind of my fellow protective Mommas in the same situation.

I did not trust his ethics, which was the right call to make. I hired my independent experts to provide independent reviews that were conducted properly. While they did not all agree with one another in every detail, they found me to be a fit parent. What they all shared in common that Chris Lane did differently was, they had me fill out questionnaires in PEN and mail them MYSELF to independent (from them) assessment firms. Chris Lane had me fill out my questionnaire while in room in his office, in #2 PENCIL, and put the completed form on the top of the shelf in the closet of that room. Which means there's no chain of custody and the answers could be erased and refactored to substantiate any possible mental health (or personality disorder) finding. By not trusting him, my outcome was that I was granted sole custody of my son, but not allowed to move more than 50-miles away from his father....the Judge and Guardian-ad-Litem believed I would bolt like many abused wives and ex-wives do.

Dr. Lane took four months to deliver a seven page report in a custody case. When delivered the report was incomplete. He is more concerned with protecting his peers than performing his job in a professional manner.
He takes months to complete a seven page report but asks for payment immediately.
He is not a trusted professional

Lane is extremely unprofessional. I was tempted to report him to the state licensing authorities. He was many weeks late with his report, and he did not contact any of my kids' teachers. Even my kids -- who were very young at the time -- had no respect for him. He definitely has some kind of problem and is in need of counseling himself

I would never refer any of my family and friends to go here. If I had know how terrible they were I never would have gone. If I had known what a horrible experience I was going to have, I never would have gone in the first place. I would never refer a friend or family member here ever. They definitely weren't easy to reach in an emergency. I was forced to call the emergency personnel and had absolutely no support or honesty from Chris Lane. My children were damaged by Chris Lane's treatment of them. They need a counselor to undo what he has done. Other people I met in his waiting room were equally as appalled as I.
