Review from a teen girl

Ok Ok I'm being downright honest about Dr. Pamela Kaiser. I went in to her office for the first time and was surprised. It was extreme child friendly and lets just say it was not your typical therapist office. Fast forward a bit. I started 7th grade with a big problem I needed to fix and the only good therapist we (my parents and I) thought would be Dr. Pam. I ended up going to her office every day for about 16 months. The wait in her office was extremely long as her previous patient always took up way too much time. Dr. Pam believed that the only way to get over your fear or problem is to face it- and throughout my time with her she pushed me extremely hard I was in tears several times. She is very judgmental and when I turned 13 she said I acted like a 6 year old :(
Also whenever I told her a problem that came out it seemed like she ignored me but maybe she did listen. She gave me so much homework (YES, HOMEWORK) between my sessions that my grades started to slightly drop because of it. Although she is a really sweet lady and knows what she is doing, I do have to say that i didn't completely heal my problem after going to her. Instead of coming out free from my issue I still had it-it was still there clinging onto me. i did make great progress though, it just took a long time for me.
And she charges 200 bucks for 45 MINUTES! It probably even went up by now! She is amazing at what she does, but really? This much?
also, whenever she emails the patient or his/her parents she charges them! Really! She charges for replying to an email!
wow, writing this review brings up so many memories for me...
anyways...
Good luck in your psychologist search though :)
Dr. Pam is great. She really is awesome. She just wasn't the best match for me and my family.

I highly recommend Dr. Kaiser. She is a pro, knows her stuff and is gentle and kind with my son. She has changed the way he views his condition and he is working through it beautifully. He has vastly improved in a short period of time and we are confident he will change his brain and be free of the issues that plague him. I appreciate everyone has different experiences but was surprised to see the negative reviews. We can only say great things about her. She has been exceptional.

Agree with 1st reviewer. Provider was cold and harsh very judgmental and told me my child was severely oppositional which has not been corroborated by any other professional, her teachers or us (the parents). Refused to consider any work with me as the parent and only wanted to see my child. Did not tell us anything about a treatment plan or what would happen in session (for a 5 year old). As a medical professional myself, I was extremely disappointed.

Provider was timely. Problem is that despite her credentials she was unduly judgmental and very difficult to work with. We paid a lot of money for sessions with our daughter and it was mostly wasted
