They barely gave me any information at all. I'm going to have to do my own research to get my questions answered. Their staff was friendly enough, but they didn't go out of their way to help me. I feel like my appointment was pointless. None of my questions were answered, nothing was accomplished, and I felt worse when I left. The office was easy enough to find. I would never visit them again. I was very disappointed. This lady, I feel (not a psychologist as you said, but a social worker), was a man hater. She blamed all of my wife's problems on me. My wife KNEW she had some problems and so did I. She had joined me in business and each of us wanted to run things his/her own way. Also Thea had too low necklines, leading my wife (a former Congressional Secretary) to say, "she was dress inappropriately, I'd have sent her home--cripes, half her breasts were exposed." I'll never forget that. On the 2nd visit she wanted to see my wife alone, and when I arrived in a separate vehicle (I'd been out on a sales call) wife told me Thea wanted to spend a few moments alone....Thea should have sent me in the lobby, as I began to exit, but she insisted I stay. I told her, "you need to be assertive and send me out, I'm not that intimidating to destroy your assertiveness am I?" "Just stay," she snapped. That's what led us both to think she was nuts AND she laid into me again, telling me it was all my fault. We both left, thought she was a jerk. We did what she should have done for us: we went to neutral ground, a coffee shop, put our pet peeves on paper and worked on a big compromise. THAT solved our problems. I think Thea is a fraud! Just one old man's opinion. It's been a long time since I saw her (before the internet), but was going thru some old papers and decided now that online reviews are possible, I need to let others know that I believe they should avoid her. A lot of therapists get into counseling/psychology looking for answers to their own problems and I think Thea is one of them.
