I consulted the "psychologist" for severe depression. On a late Friday afternoon, he suggested that I needed to be hospitalized, but also that he had Friday evening plans. Told me to either call police or go to hospital myself. I went to the hospital, where the psych nurse was astonished that the therapist had simply done that.

While under treatment at Loma Linda, I befriended a wonderful man who, coincidentally, had also sought therapeutic help from Ken Garett. Although severely depressed and suicidal, Ken Garett dismissed his symptoms as simply "attention getting." My friend suicided.

I absolutely do not recommend that anyone suffering from depression seek treatment from this individual. His behavior is unprofessional, unhelpful, and dangerously consequential for those who need help.

During and after hospitalization, I called Ken Garett three times - for help and also for my records. He never bothered to return the call.
