I would NEVER recommend this facility. I had a family member that needed more immediate attention than seeing a therapist. We took him to the stress center and after much time speaking with him, they admitted him against his will on the tiniest information regarding his safety. They asked leading questions to get the answers that would allow them to admit. Even so, we encouraged our family member to stay and get meds for a good nights sleep and he was supposed to see the doctor at 7am. Not only did they not give him anything to sleep, when he did finally fall asleep at 3am, they woke him at 6am for lab work. Then no doctor was scheduled to see him until later in the afternoon. We felt totally duped. We took him there to get help and feel that our opportunity to really help him was botched by the lack of attention and urgency from the staff. Additionally, the place was smelly and dirty...feeling very much like a jail. He was released immediately after see the doctor because there was no cause to hold him. I would like to note that Dr. Williams, who ultimately saw him at this facility, is an exceptional psychiatrist. I am completely relieved that he will see him on an ongoing basis. Dr. Williams "almost" made the entire negative experience seem worth it. If you can see him in his office, I highly recommend him.
