My stay at chestnut lodge hospital from 95-96 for 2 years, was very informative and I learned a lot about myself and why I behave certain ways. Too bad that chestnut lodge did go under they were really, really good at what they did. A lot of their therapies was intensive and you couldn't dodge it by being passive, rather you would probably wind up disappointed with having direction aimed directly at you. This horse ### about chestnut lodge being haunted is what it is. Everybody likes to make stories and folklore becomes substantial sometimes. I personally lived there and was on the fourth floor of that so called haunted building. It was old cranky but I paid no mind to it. Top hospital with caring and attentive staff. It was the patients who constantly wondered from the main point of getting good solid treatment. It was easy to loose track of the main purpose and to put the good guys, those of the treatment staff, as the culprits. hospitals like chestnut lodge, with long stays, are diminishing from existance but let the record show... chestnut lodge was the best.
