Alexander used to ( may still) have adolescent patients at CPC Parkwood Hospital. She WAREHOUSED me there for over a year. In that year I discovered cutting , sex and many other bad habits. She does not care. she was only in it for the money. After a year of a patient getting worse I would think it's time to try something different Don't you agree?? The only thing that got me released is my fathers insurance refusing to pay anymore.

Barrie Alexander is NOT a professional. She was late to appointments (and I am not talking 10 or 15 minutes. She was 40 minutes late one time and the rest were 20 -30 minutes!). Additionally, she actually said inappropriate things to my 8 year-old daughter. She charged 300 dollars an hour to evaluate my child and then, after several months of therapy, would not even write up her evaluation/conclusions without more money~she wanted 1200 more dollars! The "report" was nothing but some-kind of auto-generated-fill-in-the blank printout that was not insightful or revealing. She was a waste of money, a waste of time and I would recommend that you avoid this person. Also, on a personal level, she seems to be a dysfunctional woman without control over her life or impulses. She is morbidly obese and has a unkempt, sloppy appearance.

I would not recommend Barrie Alexander to anyone. Barrie did more harm to my child than good. She took advantage of my situation just so she could charge large sums of money. Barrie played both sides between me and my ex. Barrie promoted disharmony so she could continue to milk the situation. I also found Barrie to be dishonest as others have noted in their review of her. Barrie would say one thing to me and the exact opposite to my ex.

If your attorney or court suggests Barrie Alexander, do yourself a favor - find someone else!

Getting an appointment with them on short notice can be difficult (as is expected in any business), but overall it's pretty easy to get an appointment with them at a convenient time! I was glad that they were located in a safe neighborhood. I've been to some other places where pretty scary. Whenever I go, they make me feel like I'm their only client. They've always gone above and beyond. I couldn't believe how knowledgeable and well-informed the staff was. They were able to answer all my questions, except the ones they needed to have their boss's input on. It was great to be able to talk to such a skilled staff. They made sure every single question I had was answered, and are always available if I think of any more questions I want answered. Barrie Alexander was able to help a very complicated situation like mine, and I am forever grateful. I definitely recommend her to everyone!

I waited forever for my appointment!

Not really, I've never seen them go above and beyond

No, they were on time
Is this psychologist easy to reach in an emergency?
Absolutely not. I was forced to call the emergency room.

Not at all! They were boring and outdated

Not really. I had to schedule an appointment for most of my questions.

I am very disappointed with my 2 visits to Dr. Barrie Alexander. She was impossible to get in touch with after my initial visits and I wasn't able to get the information I needed for the court. I left multiple messages (calls, emails) and she was non-responsive. She led me to believe that everything would be fine and my child would be protected. She did nothing to help my daughter or our situation. I would not recommend her at all. If your attorney suggests that your child visit her, please seek an alternative!

They barely gave me any information at all. I'm going to have to do my own research to get my questions answered. Their staff was not friendly at all, I didn't feel welcome there. I feel like my appointment was pointless. None of my questions were answered, nothing was accomplished, and I felt worse when I left. Barry Alexander was unprofessional in so many ways~persistently late for many appointments~brought her dog to appointments.....and she said some very inappropriate comments to my child. I would never go back to her and I would strongly dissuade anyone from going near her.
