WARNING!!!!! AVOID THIS HOSPITAL LIKE THE PLAGUE IF YOU VALUE YOUR LIFE AND LIMBS..............I fell and fractured my patella on a Friday afternoon just before Christmas 2010 , I AM A 63 year old woman......my knee cap was literally in pieces and I was in excruciating pain...I was taken by ambulance to this hospital....long story short...the ER gave me pain medication, took an x-ray showing that my knee cap was shattered ,wrapped my leg in a foam rubber so-called immobilizer large enough to fit only a 6 ft. man( I am 5'3") and sent me home with a cavalier.".call a surgeon when you get home and set up an appointment...there is no one here over the weekend to do surgery on your knee.." ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? My neighbor, thank God, saw my condition when I arrived home screaming in pain while trying to be lifted out of the car...called an ambulance and I was taken to
Delray Medical Center where they did admit me, and did do surgery the next morning....nurses and staff were incredulous that Bethesda sent me home in that condition!!!!!
