I hope that other people will read my review before deciding to see Tracie Todd. I was a patient for three years. The first year went well; the second year had some problems; the third year was disastrous. I found Tracie after my previous psychiatric NP moved. I liked Tracie from the first visit, and she really helped me with my medical regimen. For the first year, I saw Tracie monthly, and she filed my insurance and I paid my copay. The biggest problem was that Tracie had no office staff, so I did have trouble getting in touch with her. But Tracie always answered my texts or phone calls within one or two days.

After the first year, my insurance changed, and Tracie apparently decided to not file with this new insurance anymore. "To much hassle." She only wanted to see me every two months, which then became every three months. I was stable on my meds, so I agreed with this. I was paying my co-pay to her still; she was not cashing my checks, which I found odd. I mentioned it to her once, and she just kind of laughed about being disorganized.

Unfortunately, these three month appointments became very stressful. At first, I would come; she was not there. Then we would reschedule; then she was late for the rescheduled appointment. Always some excuse. My favorite excuse was that her cat got loose. At this point, I should have got a new provider, but Tracie had by then started me on a new medicine that was really helping me. She was giving me free samples as my insurance did not approve this new medicine. So, I stayed with Tracie, hoping that she would quit being so flaky.

But then, as we went into our third year, things got worse. She was still usually 10 to 30 minutes late for an appointment. (She set her own office hours, so she was never in the office during normal business hours routinely.) But then, she began to forget the refills on my medicine. My medicine regimen had been the same for many months, but she kept forgetting the correct dosages, sending in only half the required refill amounts, blaming the pharmacy, or just forgetting at all. One Friday, I was completely out of medicine, and Tracie was out of town. She had forgotten to fax in my medication refill to the pharmacy. She never answered my texts that Friday. She finally answered my phone messages late Saturday evening. She was very apologetic. She was so busy, she was out of town, she was stuck in traffic - always some excuse. She did fax in the request to the pharmacy, and I was able to pick up my medication on Sunday afternoon.

By this time, I had not seen Tracie in over 6 months. All contact between us was now just for medicine refill. I would call and leave a message or text her when my refills were done. I knew I should have found a new provider, and I have no excuse other than I was doing so well on the medication that Tracie was giving me with free samples. When I needed more free samples, Tracie would just put the medicine in a large envelop and tape it to her office door. I did not even warrant an appointment.

My sister stepped in and forced the issue with me in May 2016, when my medication needed refilling again. I knew the situation with Tracie had got out of hand, and Tracie was treating me with gross disrespect. My only excuse is that my stress level had caused me not to think clearly. Tracie now told me that she was not able to get anymore free samples. So now, I was out of that medication. I was really in a bad state by then.

My sister was the one who verified with my insurance that my "free samples" medication was actually approved by my insurance and had been for several months. Tracie never checked about the medication. My sister then spent a marathon two days tracking Tracie Todd down via texting, emails, and phone messages. My beautiful sister forced Tracie to do her job: The insurance required faxed verification of my new medication coverage before they would approve payment. Tracie did send this in, but the texts she exchanged with my sister during those two days were rude, lengthy, and full of explanations, accusations, or excuses. My sister was determined to get Tracie to refill my medication one last time, so she could find me a new provider.

My sister would sit and read these text messages to me, because she was amazed at this woman's lack of professionalism. One statement was: "Look, you know I am seeing your sister for free, right?" This hurt so much. I am on disability, but I am not a charity case. I paid Tracie all along, and she could have filed with my insurance! She was the one who did not cash my co-pay checks, did not see me for months at a time, did not want to be bothered with the hassle of paperwork for the insurance.

My sister "fired" Tracie, and we spent nearly a month trying to find a new provider. In today's new health care, finding a psychiatric provider is very difficult. We finally found a new psychiatric NP, who does not accept my insurance, but I pay her a sliding scale fee. She agreed to see me once a month. However, my medication is covered by my insurance, so the expense is still manageable.

This whole experience with Tracie Todd was surreal. I am in my late 50s, have even worked as a nurse in a psychiatric ward and labor and delivery ward before becoming disabled, and have never seen a medical person act in such a manner. The stress that this causes a person dealing with psychiatric issues is dangerous and irresponsible. My sister wanted to report Tracie Todd to the medical board for gross negligence - especially with taping medication to her office door. I asked my sister not to do this. I just want to forget that Tracie Todd caused me such grief or that I let her treat me in such a terrible way for so long. I am so thankful that my family stepped in to prevent further abuse by this woman.

PLEASE DO NOT SEE THIS WOMAN. Every word that I typed is the absolute truth. Thank you for reading this lengthy review. I hope it helps someone else.

Tracie and her office manager have always made me feel as if I were the only patient. She definitely is not the stereotypical therapist. She is very easy to talk to, and has never made me feel bad about mistakes I have made- which have been plenty. She is open to conversation, and doesn't mind breaking things down into terms I can understand. I was leery about seeing a therapist, but after seeing Tracie- I don't know what I'd do without her. I would recommend her to anyone & everyone.

FLAKEAZOID!!! I was so excited at first to see Tracie Todd at first. She For the first time, I felt I was heard and listened to and was in a very bad shape at the time.Tracie seemed warm and compassionate and extremely knowledgeable; and at the time I did not have insurance so her sliding scale seemed awesome. However; much to my disappointment she simply vanished into thin air when I needed her most. She got me started on a great plan but you have to check in every couple weeks for refills which would be fine but if you can't even get a hold of your provider to make a follow up appointment or get a call back for questions than what the heck are you supposed to do?!! that can be extremely dangerous and devastating if you're in tight bind. I tried calling her office which vm cut me off or would get fax tone. Tried to reach her by other phone numbers she gave me and text but never received a response, and same goes for email. This was absolutely unacceptable! in my estimation her behaviour is completely unprofessional and cold hearted not to even give me a reply to say she couldn't help me or why she was so hard to get a hold of, or an apology, NOTHING!! It was so stressful trying to scurry to find other help in order to pick up the pieces that she just dropped like a hot potato! I've been to many specialists and never in my life has anyone just vanished without any explanation whatsoever. Plus, she held some of my very personal & private information including my financial info. which happened to undergo some identity fraud shortly thereafter. I'm not saying she was responsible but what the heck is one supposed to think when a person you trust to be professional just drops off the face of the earth with all your information. I expressed my concern to the M.D. she works under Dr. Murray & he was extremely prompt, courteous, & apologetic for her. It's unfortunate that he had to be the one to excuse her poor behavior. It's too bad he is no longer in the Nashville area otherwise I would just go to him. So, Please save yourself your money, time, gas, and energy. She is a total flake! I would not say that had I not been treated like a disposable wad of paper in my greatest time of need. Really too bad. What a let down. :(

Just as a side note, I was very impressed with how conveniently located this business was and how close it was to other shopping centers. It was so easy to find, I didn't have any trouble at all. They always take that extra step to make me feel special. I always enjoy my appointments here. It was not easy to reach them in an emergency. I had to call several times before I finally reached them. I need to schedule an appointment for Matt Ladd, noone will call me or my husband (Les Ladd) back. Matt is about to run out of medicine. Thanks
