Dr Joel Murphy: Excellent vet, BUT charged $57 for office visit & exam when he spent less than 5 mins with me and my pet because he was in such a hurry. Also, charged me $83.60 for medication that I get from the same compounding pharmacy for 3 of the same items for $100.95. Unethical practices. I cannot afford to continue taking my pets there. The other vet in his practice initially misdiagnosed my pet, who of course got worse. I have refused to have any more appointments with him.

Horrible! Diagnosed my African Grey with Aspergillus which she did not have. Dr. Murphy kept treating her for about a year, lots of dollars, time, and tears. In my opinion, this man is a total scam and should never be allowed to practice medicine on animals.

Dr. Murphy is a rare doctor who knows equally as much about holistic medicine and conventional medicine, and who has the judgement to choose the optimum treatment protocols for animals based on his comprehensive knowledge. He also has a beautiful, gentle manner of truly communicating with and handling animals -- this is very much appreciated since our cats are our family members. i'm very happy to have found him, and I would highly recommend him.

I brought Tucker in to Dr.Murphy when he was feeling sick, and luckily Dr.Murphy was able to find that my dog was healthy! He was just having an episode after eating some plants in our yard. After walking in the back where the Veterinary Assistants work, I could see all the high-tech equipment they use. I feel very confident in Dr.Murphy treating Tucker and comfortable leaving him there for the day with the nice Veterinary Assistants. I felt like the entire staff cared for me and my dog and wanted to help us the minute we walked in the door. After spending time with the staff at the Animal & Bird Medical Center, I wouldn't feel comfortable leaving him anywhere else.
