The comments offered about Dr. Romirowsky here, are not presented as an evaluation of his competence, in general. This is simply a brief report on how this psychologist conducted himself in one child custody process, and how his poor attention to factual reality resulted in very harmful consequences for a family and its extended family. The doctor might very well be a highly skilled professional, but that's not the person who showed up to conduct a court-ordered evaluation.

In his final report, Dr. Romirowsky betrayed his own deep-seated bias that, given the circumstances, might be forgivable for a lay person, but inexcusable for a PhD Psychologist. Hopefully, he will read with an open mind the letter that will be sent to him in a few days.

Due to unfortunate circumstances our family was in need of care for our children. After having met with a prior psychologist, who left us with an unpleasant experience, we turned to our attorney for guidance. Without hesitation, she recommended Dr. Romirowsky. I can honestly say that I am very grateful that we took our attorney’s advice. At our initial consult with Dr. Romirowsky our fear and anxiety was eliminated. Dr. Romirowsky is very professional and has the ability to communicate with you (and your children) on a compassionate and personal level. His attention to detail, knowledge and guidance is very much respected by myself and my husband. We have all benefited immensely from Dr. Romirowsky and appreciate the care that he has provided to us.

Dr. Romirowsky is a credit to his profession and has been a true blessing for our grandchildren as well as my wife and I. I have never felt uncomfortable in his presence as his methodology is both professional and endearing. He is and always has been very attentive to our concerns and has provided the best care and advice that we could ever imagine. We are very fortunate to have him as a provider and trust both his judgement and opinion to the highest level.

On March 8th, 2015, my daughter was killed by a "Hit and Run" drunk driver. She was crossing an intersection when she was hit by a young man (BAL 1.58) at a high rate of speed. Amanda was my only daughter, and the love of my life!!! Dr. Romirowsky has been my grief counselor since the accident. I died the day Amanda was killed and Doc has been helping me find my "New Normal"! Doc is a great listener, very patient, extremely supportive and very honest. His honesty and support has brought me through every difficult experience I have encountered since her death. He has helped me to make significant choices that have kept me on a positive pathway when it would have been very easy for me to quit! He has given me the space to grieve in my own pace and fashion, which very few people in my life have. I have had tremendous support from my friends, co-workers and formers students! But as time has passed, people unintentionally act as if I should have moved on by now. Doc has reassured me that I am on the correct path and that I should remain patient with myself. Give myself the grace to grieve as I need. Thanks and gratitude are not enough for what he has done for me. With each session, I feel stronger and more focused on what my life will look like down the road. He has never used trite phrases or speeches like most of society. He knows I will carry my grief for the rest of my life, so he is arming me with the tools to be able to deal with it while still being a contributing member of society. I am externally grateful for the love and compassion he has shown me. I would highly recommend Dr. Romirowsky for a child custody case, of which he helped me several years ago, or with grief counseling. He relates well with people of all ages, and makes people feel very comfortable in what could be a difficult setting.

As soon as I walked in Dr. Romirowsky's office, he immediately put me at ease. He was very friendly, down-to-earth and kind. In addition, he was both sensitive and empathetic. He was interested, in my case, and he showed compassion. I liked him. I will say, however, that I felt his charges were unreasonable....very high.

Dr. Sam Romirowsky is a sensitive and fair forensic psychologist who did our custody evaluation. Custody is a difficult thing to navigate, but Dr. Sam was very helpful and always had the best interest of our child in mind. He put everyone at ease, answered all of our questions and made a fair and equitable recommendation. I recommend him highly!
