I knew Joan before she was a dcsw. I seem to recall she was just starting her graduate work. I was doing groups at Waikiki Drug Clinic. Group leaders were likely in need of as much help as group members.

Joan came tie WDC to find out what we were all about. I rermber Rene as one of the support professionals.

Good to see she found the answers to her question.

Joan Columbia Tillich is an outstanding therapist. Helped me navigate and succesfully deal with some extremely painful and complex family issues that dated back to childhood. Can't say enough good about her.

She immediately asked personal questions and when I refuse to answer saying that's too personal she said that i needed to pay ASAP before we could continue .

Joan was a fabulous counselor for me. I was young and confused, and just needed a sympathetic, and intelligent ear to listen, gently guide me to my own sense of self. She helped me to find my own answers, and to prepare myself for the rest of my life.
