I was a member for 3 years. I always paid cash for my membership in full, annually, because of the stories that I heard about other clubs charging your credit card. I left in August 2013 because another club was less expensive. I wrote them a resignation letter. A few days after I notified membership that I was closing my account, a membership person called and offered to change my account to a monthly account and freeze it so that my rate which was around $35/mth would not go up if I decided to return. I thought that was nice, so I agreed to that and gave the girl my credit card number. So 5 months later, I discover that they have been charging me for the last 5 months $45. They will only refund 4 months because they say that they have no record of my cancelling my account or freezing an existing account, so I'm out $45. I will be checking my paperwork but I am not happy about not being able to trust Newtone. It should be obvious that there was an error since I have never paid $45 the entire time that I was a member. Pretty pathetic and I really liked that club. NEVER again will I be a member there. Too bad they can't be trusted.
