Dr. Walters is the best veterinarian that you will ever find. He is very knowledgeable, compassionate, and absolutely a great surgeon. My German Shepherd’s stomach twisted and needed immediate surgery and Dr. Walters saved my dog’s life. He, his wife, and technician are some of the kindest people I have ever met. Whenever I need to board my dogs.. they are most accommodating. I have rarely met anyone that I respect as much as Dr. Walters and his staff.

When our beloved Saint Bernard, Greta, became fatally ill several years ago, Dr.. Walter stayed with her throughout a Saturday night, so she would not die alone.

My dog was hit by a car, and Dr. Walter agreed to see him after hours. I was thankful and confident that I had left my dog in the hands of a professional but I was sadly mistaken.
Dr. Walter insisted that x-rays were not necessary. A two-ton vehicle hit my small terrier dog and he believed that he should not check for fractures or vertebrae issues. He insisted that I give him baby aspirin and told me that follow-up is unnecessary.
Using my own common sense I took him to the animal hospital in Nebraska City where I learned that he had a cracked jaw. Dr. Walter must have used his x-ray vision to confirm that my beloved pet did not need an x-ray.
My dog was hurt, scared, and traumatized. I placed my faith in Dr. Walter and we were betrayed. It was evident he was just trying to shoo me out the front door.
I was hoping that they would be sympathetic to my situation and understand where I was coming from. Instead, they made it completely obvious that they didn't care about me or what I had been through. They briefly listened to me, but quickly downplayed everything I said or stopped paying attention.

Highly recommended! Have always used Dr. John Walter as our vet. He is very knowledgeable, caring for the pets, and very reasonable on prices.

Absolutely! They handle everything from annual shots to complicated illnesses, with competence and loving care
