Been taking my two dogs to this Vet for a few years and am unimpressed every time I go -- and a family member of mine recommended them! In a word they are: PERFUNCTORY. They are aloof, dismissive of information you provide to them, and just want to gives shots and prescribe drugs -- there is no listening (I'm mean, they let you talk, but they are not taking the information in at all) just foregone conclusions. My little dog has had smelly ears for years and when I took him in and told the vet about it -- with my dog on the steel table -- the vet said, "oh, I don't think it's that." He didn't bother to so much as bend down, look, sniff, or anything -- just dismissed my info. Now, a year later my dog has a ear hematoma, which is like a big boil on the inside of his ear; these are typically caused by ear infections, which can often give off a smell. HELLO DOC I JUST DID YOUR JOB, but guess what, Riverside is Fired!

I love the staff at Riverside Veterinary Hospital. They are kind and caring, and they never keep me waiting long. Dr. Ritch is more than just my dogs' "doctor" - he is their friend. He knows that our dogs are a part of the family and he treats them with the compassion and thoroughness I expect. He listens when I tell him something is wrong even if it is not obvious to someone else, and he respects my healthcare decisions for them.
